Moses with a stick, as leader of the children of Israel, and Aaron, his elder brother wearing a priest's robe and mitre ("horns") on his forehead, present the two columns with the Ten Commandments to the congregation. Moses is depicted pointing to the commandments with his index finger, thus addressing the congregation. The first column starts with "Listen Israel", then states the commandments I-IV. The second column with commandments V-X finishes with the love commandment of Jesus according to St. Matthew XXII.
