The engraving depicts a Protestant service in a quarry near Lecques, not far from Nîmes. A minister standing on a transportable pulpit is preaching to the congregation who are protecting themselves from the sun with umbrellas. Guards are posted on a hill to warn them of any danger approaching. © German Huguenot Museum Bad Karlshafen
