Calvin with cap and beard, in profile, facing left. Two fingers of his right hand are pointing upwards. In his left hand he is holding an open book.
Marginal inscription: JOHAN CALVINVS VERE THEOLOGVS ECCLESIASTES GENEVEN.
Below: Calvin's emblem: "The heart in the hand"
At the bottom, his motto: PROMPTE ET SINCERE (determined and sincere)
